MEET THE PROVIDER
Katherine Theuri, MSN, PMHNP-BC
Hi There! I'm So Glad You're Here.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based in Alabama, providing compassionate care for adolescents and adults facing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and other mental health concerns. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, uncertain about the future, or simply looking for support, you don't have to navigate it alone. My goal is to help you uncover your strengths, build resilience, and empower you to create a life that feels meaningful, balanced, and fulfilling.
“Growing up in Kenya and traveling throughout the world has given me a rich multicultural perspective that I bring into every patient encounter. With more than 20 years of healthcare experience across hospitals, community mental health settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient care, and correctional psychiatry. I have had the privilege of supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and walks of life.”
What has always drawn me to mental healthcare is not simply treating symptoms, but listening to people's stories and understanding the experiences that shape who they are. I believe meaningful care begins with curiosity, compassion, and a genuine understanding of each person's individual needs.
Whether you are navigating depression, anxiety, mood swings, trauma, sleep difficulties, grief, relationship challenges, academic pressures, or workplace stress, I am committed to partnering with you on your journey toward wellness.
OUR APPROACH
Experienced Care, Grounded in Compassion
Our approach is holistic, trauma-informed, collaborative, and individualized.
During our first visit, you'll find a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where we can openly discuss your concerns, explore your goals, and develop a comprehensive treatment plan together. Your care may include medication management, integrative approaches, lifestyle modifications, and other evidence-based interventions tailored to your unique needs and circumstances.
As we continue working together, we will regularly reassess your progress, adjust your treatment plan when needed, and celebrate the meaningful steps you take toward healing and growth. My hope is to empower you with the tools, insight, and support you need to thrive, not just survive.
You are more than a diagnosis. You are a unique individual with strengths, purpose, and the capacity for healing and growth. My hope is to help you recognize those strengths and build on them as you work toward a more fulfilling life.
